Privacy Policy & Crawler Safety
Last updated: October 2026 · Effective immediately
1. Non-Invasive, Read-Only Scanning
SiteSignal AI only crawls publicly accessible URLs that you provide. Our headless Chromium crawler behaves as a first-time visitor inspecting your site:
- We never install tracking pixels, cookies, or JavaScript trackers on your site.
- We never record, intercept, or track your real live end-users or visitor sessions.
- We never submit forms, write to your database, or trigger destructive automated actions.
- Our crawler strictly obeys origin boundaries and crawl depth limits (1–20 pages depending on your plan).
2. Data We Collect and How We Use It
When you use SiteSignal AI, we collect minimal operational information required to deliver your audit:
- Account & Contact Information: Your work email address, used to authenticate your session, deliver completed audit PDFs, and notify you of critical report updates.
- Audited Domain Assets: Public HTML structure, DOM geometry, CSS tokens, and public subpage URLs captured during your scan.
- Payment Transactions: We partner with Merchant of Record payment processors (Dodo Payments & Stripe) to handle billing securely. We never store credit card numbers, CVVs, or full payment credentials on our servers.
3. Data Retention & Security
All crawl artifacts, screenshots, and evaluation records are encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and at rest using AES-256 encryption. Free audits and temporary worker captures follow strict automated retention cleanup protocols. You can request immediate deletion of any audit records associated with your email at any time by contacting us.
4. Contact & Privacy Requests
